Objectives |
The students are able to recognize the impact of (international) health law in an increasingly interrelated (cross-border) civil society
They can explain the fundamental concepts and structures of health law.
They are able to illuminate the functioning and structures of key institutions in health law.
The students know how to characterize the relationship between law, ethics and politics.
The students can explain the meaning of ethical debates in the context of health law, health economics, and policy.
They have the knowledge to conduct legal research in the field of health law.
They know how to analyse and discuss controversial issues in health policies and law.

- Actors of the health care system and their legal relationships (e.g. doctor/patient relationship)
- Health care institutions and their legal organization
- International, supranational and national health system structures
- Legal structures and norms in health care systems (including EU law)
