Objectives This workshop supplements the lecture "Chemical Reaction Engineering". Students will discuss problem solving tasks in order to enhance understanding of the course material.
Subject Physical and physicochemical basics of chemical reaction engineering (stoichiometry, thermodynamics, kinetics, adsorption/chemisorption, mass transfer), mass and heat balances, residence time behaviour, conversion calculations, dimensionless quantities, ideal reactors: batch reactor (BR), plug flow reactor (PFR), continuous stirred-tank reactor (CSTR), stirred tank cascade
Criteria for evaluation Successful completion of exercises and presenting work on the board in front of the class.
Methods Exercises and problem solving tasks based on content from the lecture „Chemical Reaction Engineering“
