(*)The lecture consists of two parts. In the first part, an overview of wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, and GPS) and different types of mobile applications and development platforms, OSs, and application frameworks are given. Further, the design of mobile apps is discussed with the aim to give the students a solid background in how to develop compelling sensor-enriched mobile applications. In particular for Android programming, a detailed introduction is provided. The second part of the lecture is a practical part where students apply the techniques and principles they learnt in the first part to develop a mobile app.
