Criteria for evaluation |
Each of the 7 written test comprises 3 exam questions. The answer for each question is evaluated with up to 10 points. For a positive grade (4), at least 50% of the points must be reached. The ranges for the other grades (1, 2, and 3) have approximately the same width.
|
Methods |
In this "exercise course", the contents of the lecture is recapitulated, discussed, and examined in a written test after each chapter
|
Language |
English and French |
Changing subject? |
No |
Further information |
The exam questions can be answered in English or in German (as preferred by the student). The handouts show all figures with English subtitles but the running text is in German. The chapters closely adhere to the english-speaking students can give the exam answers in English. If they have problems with the German handouts, then they can use the original text book "Molecular Biology of the Cell" by Bruce Alberts et al. as source for learning and compare with the German handouts to see what has been emphasized.
