Objectives Introduction to basic algorithms in computer algebra.
Subject We discuss constructive symbolic methods for solving algebraic (i.e., polynomial) systems of equations:
computation of greatest common divisors by the Euclidean algorithm, resultants, Groebner bases, and factorization of polynomials.
