Objectives |
Hands-on knowledge in handling of RF components and measurement equipment required for the development of radar systems; Practical implementation of different radar concepts; Comparison of theory and measurement by signal evaluation in Python.

- Characterization of typical RF components used in radar systems;
- Automation of RF measurement equipment (GPIB, SCPI, ...)
- Practical implementation of FSCW, FMCW, and range-Doppler radar systems
- Measurement of range, velocity, and position
- System modelling, noise analysis, influence of practical hardware
imperfections
- DFT based signal processing algorithms in Python, including two-dimensional analysis for range-Doppler and beamforming applications
