Objectives Understanding of different approaches of sociology of knowledge, epistemology, science and technology studies and technological impact assessment. Understanding the connectedness of this interdisciplinary field of knowledge.
Subject Theories and methods of research and development; the role of public funding and private funding agencies; social and political aspects of the production of science and technology.
Criteria for evaluation Oral presentation and written analysis of one topic/text; contribution to the discussion in the course.
Methods Reading and analysing of texts with the support of the lecturer; discussion; oral and written presentation of the results.
