Objectives |
Students acquire insights into the supply chain management field. They are familiar with the fundamental concepts, models, methods and approaches of supply chain management and they are able to apply them to case study problems. Furthermore, they develop a basic understanding of how environmental and social issues translate into stakeholder, market and regulatory pressures and, ultimately, make companies adopt sustainability management practices.

Introduction to sales planning, production planning and material requirements planning, Fundamental concepts of inventory management and distribution planning, network and facility location planning and supply chain management in general. Application of spreadsheet tools for decision support
Part 2: Business case for sustainability, UN Sustainable Development Goals, Stakeholder-Management, Sustainability management in a circular economy, environmental and quality management systems, product life-cycle management, collaboration across the value chain (e.g. design for recycling), Co-evolution between market incumbents and pioneers
