 Basic properties such as accessibility, observability, etc.
 Lyapunov and Riccati equations, Gramians
 Optimal control, LQR and LQG design with and without inputs
 Fundamentals for the algebraic synthesis, rings of polynomials, rings of stable transfer functions
 Norms for optimal control loop design
