Objectives Application and achievement of in-depth knowledge of the contents of the corresponding lecture, especially acquiring skills with respect to planning and calculating of typical manufacturing tasks based on guided practical exercises. Ability to develop and apply appropriate (mathematical) models for the simulation of characteristic process-parameters and product-properties. Competence to evaluate manufacturing machines and systems.
Subject
  • Planning, calculation and implementation of typical manufacturing tasks (e.g. from the field of chipping production, forming technology, additive manufacturing or polymer technology) assisted by selection, development and application of appropriate (mathematical) models.
  • Measurement data acquisition and evaluation of typical process parameters and product properties with respect to selected manufacturing tasks.
  • Knowledge of typical parts and components of selected manufacturing machines and systems as well as their corresponding properties.
Criteria for evaluation Personal participation, exercises, final report.
Methods Guided accomplishment of practical tasks in teams.
