The specialization in Software Engineering aims at educating software engineers who are able to manage large software projects, to apply cutting-edge software development techniques as well as to understand and to direct all phases of the software development process. It covers formal foundations as well as methods and tools for all project phases, such as requirements engineering, system modelling, architectural design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software systems. The focus is on scientific methods and their application in building high-quality software in an economic way.
