Objectives This course aims to teach how to find appropriate measurement principles for a given measurement task, to evaluate and understand their sources of uncertainty, to plan, conduct and evaluate a measurement.

  • Transfer behaviour of measurement systems
  • Measurement uncertainty, signal theory and classificationof signals
  • Measurement amplifiers, Basic operational amplifier circuits
  • Chopper-, auto-zero-, split-band-, lock-in-amplifiers, instrumentation amplifier
  • Components in measurement technology
  • Digital measurement systems
Criteria for evaluation written and oral exam
Exam: it is required to acquire more than 50% in the written exam in order to be admitted to the oral part
