Detailed information
Original study plan Master's programme Polymer Technologies and Science (PTS) 2019W
Objectives Learning and understanding basic polymer processing technologies.
Subject This course deals with both polymer injection moulding and polymer extrusion. The contents includes rheometry of polymer melts, evaluation of process data and process optimisation. The work will be conducted in small groups.
Criteria for evaluation The evaluation is based on the components motivation/participation, test and report. The final grade will be equally composed of each exercise. For passing the course all reports have to be submitted on time and assessed as positive.
Methods At the beginning of each exercise, required knowledge will be evaluated (e.g. group work or short written test). The practical work will be conducted in small groups. The size of the groups will be announced by the advisor. For each exercise a report must be written.
