Original study plan Bachelor's programme Technical Physics 2015W
Objectives The lecture will give an overview over particular properties of matter at the nanoscale, and introduces important fabrication as well as analytic methods.
Subject Where are nanomaterials encountered (metals, semoconductors, composite materials, biological materials) and what makes their particular properties How are nanomaterials fabricated (bottom-up growth, top-down structuring) Which methods can determine nanomaterial’s properties (div. microscopy techniques, scanning probe techniques, scattering methods, “indirect” methods sucha as luminescence or Raman scattering)
Criteria for evaluation oral Exam
Methods Lecture
Language German or English
Study material So far no script exists, lecture notes and literature (citations) will be made available via KUSSS and/or MOODLE
