Objectives |
The main objectives of this seminar are that students explore the various conceptual frameworks of business models and recognize innovation opportunities for business models (especially due to digitization). Furthermore, they deal with the requirements and opportunities of circular business models.

The students
- learn and discuss various business model frameworks
- explore the relationships with strategy and sustainability
- analyse how business models can be innovated
- discuss the role of digitalization in business model innovation
- understand the dynamics of business models innovation and why these are changing in industries
- explore business models that are conducive to a Circular Economy, and analyse the barriers and opportunities for transitioning to these circular business models
- identify how innovative and circular business models in diverse industries operate
- reflect and explain the organizational changes needed for business model innovation
- learn to read, understand, and judge advanced research articles in the discussed fields of research.
