Objectives |
Students can apply the knowledge acquired on the basic and core competence subjects and apply their developed skills solving practical or scientific tasks in Business Informatics. Students are able to handle common topics from the core area Communications Engineering in a self-managed way. They are able to acquire the required state-of-the art knowledge from the current literature, and present work results in written and oral form. Basic techniques of scientific work, namely literature review, structured evaluation of scientific work and presentation of scientific knowledge are mastered.

The course content and thematic orientation of the courses are based on the current developments and trends in research and development of Communications Engineering.

Criteria for evaluation |
Evaluation is based on the seminar work and the presentation of the results from face-to-face classes.

Methods |
An essential skill to the students in the preparation of scientific papers is the self-directed development of novel topics. In order to train this ability, student participation is self-managed, including studying the provided resources, interactive inputs and exercises in face-to-face classes.

Study material |
The literature is based on the selected topic of the seminar. The students can access the corresponding departmental libraries, and digital libraries, such as ACM, IEEE and SpringerLink. In addition, the faculty library "Business Administration, Business Information Systems, and Technical Science Languages", and the library of the department are available.
