Objectives |
Students can think process-oriented and use appropriate notations, methods and tools when designing business processes. They are able to recognize communication flows, can specify those and apply appropriate technology concepts. They are able to think in business and technical contexts on the basis of socio-technical system design, including networked processes. Students are able to assess the quality of methods and tools for modeling business processes.

Lecture and exercises are aligned and should be completed in the same semester. All content is provided in an e-learning platform, implementing the didactic concept. In contrast to traditional lecturing concepts the learning content is processed and discussed on the basis of conceptual and practical experiences in the lecture.
In the exercise, students apply modelling approaches introduced in the lecture on a conceptual layer. A common scenario is applied to study and reflect the respective method (individually by each / every student). The result is reflected in small groups, taking into account individual solutions and a sample solution.
