Ziele |
(*)General introduction to practical photochemistry in the lab including safety considerations, preparative and mechanistic photochemistry, photophysical measurements and photocatalysis.

Lehrinhalte |
(*)Practical examples may vary and include: Creation and detection of excited state species. Photoinduced electron transfer studies. Characterization of bimolecular quenching processes. Photokinetic measurements. Examples of photosensitization and photocatalysis. Characterization of photochemical reactions and permanent product formation under steady state irradiation conditions. Studying photoswitchable and photochromic systems. Determination of quantum yields.
