Objectives Students understand important concepts in health economics at an advanced level. They acquire the ability to analyze health economic issues and problems and to develop solutions.
Subject Health production and behavior, Grossman's model of health demand, methods of economic evaluation (assessment of costs and benefits in the health care system, cost-effectiveness, cost-benefit analysis, ...), health in the life cycle (demand and use of services, effects of early life conditions, elderly care, ...), mental health, current health economic issues and questions
