Further information
Students should have basic knowledge in statistics and econometrics (see, for example, Appendix A-C and Chapters 1-2 in Wooldridge (2013)). The course (KS) “Daten und Forschungsdesign in der Ökonomie” equips students with this knowledge and is offered every winter term.
The main target group are students enrolled in the Bachelor program Economics & Business. Students enrolled in other degree programs who are interested in empirical methods are most welcome.
The focus of the course is on econometric theory; the focus of the accompanying intensifying course (IK) is on the application of the material learned in the course. Attending the intensifying course in the same semester as the course is highly recommended.
