Objectives
Upon completion of the course students will be able to:
explain how the internet and the WWW work
name the main components of dynamic, data-driven web applications and explain how these components work
install a Content Management System (CMS) on their own webspace
publish content with the CMS
modify and adapt the appearance of a website made with the CMS
name the important phases of an IT project and explain the activities done in these phases
create simple UML use case, class and activity diagrams
create a software requirements specification for a web application
The course is aimed at non computer science students
