Detailed information
Original study plan Bachelor's programme Mechatronics 2015W
Objectives Introduction to the theory of discrete-time dynamical systems, basic analysis and design methods for the class of linear, time-in-variant sampled data systems in the time and frequency domain. Deepened understanding of general, abstract structures of dynamical systems by means of linear algebra.
Subject
  • Sampled data systems, digital controllers, difference equations
  • Systems of (linear time-invariant) difference equations, system analysis (stability of the equilibrium, reachability, observability)
  • Design of state feedback and state observers for sampled data systems
  • Seperation theorem and duality, fixed set-point control of discrete systems
  • q-transform and frequency response of discrete systems, numerical and graphical stability criteria
  • Loop shaping methods for sampled data systems
  • Algebraic controller design
Criteria for evaluation written examination and/or oral examination
