Subject 1. Functional Polymers - Introduction

2. Controlled Radical Polymerization

  • Fundamentals of Controlled/living Radical Polymerization (CRP), Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization (ATRP), Nitroxide-mediated Polymerization (NMP), Reversible/Addition Fragmentation chain Transfer polymerization (RAFT) and Nanostructured functional materials.

3. Click Chemistry

  • General remarks, Thiol-ene and Thiol-yne click chemistry, Copper-catalyzed ‘Click’ Chemistry for Surface Engineering, Diels–Alder Cycloaddition and Multifunctional Network Polymers, Copper-free click chemistry, Nanomaterials and click chemistry.

4. Functional and reactive polyolefins

  • Preparation of functional polyolefins and applications.

5.Functional polymers for interesting applications

  • Functional polymers as chemical sensors and biomedical tools.
