Objectives The course offers an overview about history, production, properties and application of polyolefins, i.e. polyethylene, polypropylene, poly-1-butene and special products. The participants should be enabled to establish basic correlations between production processes resp. catalysts and monomers, product structure and applicability of these polymers which together make up for about 2/3 of the global polymer production.
