Original study plan |
Master's programme Joint Master Programme Biological Chemistry 2018W |
Objectives |
Mainstream current topics in developmental biology including comparative biochemistry, molecular phylogenetics, virology and cell regulation will be taught in this subject.
|
Subject |
The subject combines courses/lectures and seminars that deal with molecular and biochemical aspects of historical (phylogeny) and individual (ontogeny) development of living systems/organisms ("evo-devo" concept). The module offers a course on viruses, obligatory parasites of the host cells, their role in horizontal transmission of genes among host organisms, and a role of viruses evolution of life on the Earth. Cell signalling/mechanisms of signal transductions, its structural, functional, and developmental views.
