The course has been designed to provide broader knowledge of enzymes as the key catalytic and regulatory molecules of cellular metabolism.
This lecture series will focus on the terminology and classification of enzymes, kinetic and thermodynamic aspects of their action, regulation of their activities in the cell (inhibitors and activators), mechanisms of their action and relationship between the structure and function, methods of their isolation and characterization and their utilization in the basic, clinical and applied research and in industry.
