Objectives
Physics students will get a basic knowledge on anorganic and organic chemistry, particlularly to understand properties of materials relevant to physics.
Subject
I. Atomic structure and chemical bonding, basics of thermodynamics and kinetics, acid-base-balance, redox-reactions and electro-chemistry, application to basic practical problems.
II. Principles of structure and reactions in organic chemistry; dependence between structure and properties of important hydrocarbons and important bio-molecules.
