Mathematical modeling and numerical simulation are important design tools for fluid power systems. The lecture builds upon material taught in the courses "oil hydraulics" and "pneumatics" and introduces expert knowledge for the emulation of fluid power system behavior on the digital computer. The efficient numerical simulation of these systems is presented by means of selected case studies taken from industrial applications.
Criteria for evaluation
development of an individual report on a small project
Methods
Frontal lecture with computer aided presentation, extensive lecture notes for private study
