Understandig of the course of reaction, solving of practical examples

Term 2: Catalysis
Understanding of catalytic mechanisms with selected technical and biological examples

Subject Kinetics:

  1. Transport processes, chemical kinetics
  2. Basics of chemical kinetics, reaction rate, reaction kinetics, reaction order
  3. Formal kinetics / basic reactions, reactions of order 0, 1 and 2, incomplete reactions, temperature dependence
  4. Experimental determination of the reaction order
  5. Complex reaction, parallel reaction, consecutive reaction, reversible reaction, quasi stationarity, upstream equilibrium, chain branches and explosion
  6. Theory of reaction rate, impact theory, theory of the transitional state
  7. Reactions in diverse media, gas phase reactions, reactions in solution, diffusion controlled reactions

Catalysis:

  1. Introduction
