Objectives
System models are not exclusively used to simulate the system behavior on a computer instead they are e.g. also used in control design and to detect faults. This lecture covers the entire chain from recording measurement data via the determination of system models towards composed, controlled systems.
Subject
Introduction to the properties of dynamic systems and to model-related problems
Mathematical tools to determine numerical solutions
Systems (continuous time and discrete time description of linear systems in state space representation as well as in input/output representation and basic properties of systems, in particular stability, controllability, observability, and assessment criterions)
Introduction to system identification (Methods for parameter estimation, requirements to the signals, reduction of effects of measurement noise)
Control of systems described as a filter problem
Criteria for evaluation
Written exam
