Objectives |
Introduction to the theory of discrete-time dynamical systems, basic analysis and design methods for the class of linear, time-in-variant sampled data systems in the time and frequency domain. Deepened understanding of general, abstract structures of dynamical systems by means of linear algebra.

- Sampled data systems, digital controllers, difference equations
- Systems of (linear time-invariant) difference equations, system analysis (stability of the equilibrium, reachability, observability)
- Design of state feedback and state observers for sampled data systems
- Seperation theorem and duality, fixed set-point control of discrete systems
- q-transform and frequency response of discrete systems, numerical and graphical stability criteria
- Loop shaping methods for sampled data systems
- Algebraic controller design
