Objectives |
Introduction to the theory of continous-time dynamical systems, basic knowledege of analysis and design methods for the class of linear and time invariant systems. In-depth understanding of general, abstract structures of dynamical systems by means of linear algebra.

- Dynamic systems, state space, systems of ordinary differential equations
- Linear time invariant systems, coordinate transformation, eigen solutions, eigen spaces
- Stability of the equilibrium, basic Liapunov theory, Liapunov -equation
- Reachability, linear state feedback for single input system, eigenvalue placement, Ackermann's formula, optimal state feedback control for multi input systems
- Observability, full and reduced observers, Kalman Bucy filter, separation theorem
- Linearization and setup value control.

2 examinations; a mid-term and a final at the end of the class.
