- Diode: characteristic curve, graphical network analysis, temperature response of diode parameters, numerical analysis, small signal behavior, Zener diode
- Bipolar transistor: power supply and bias point
- Basic amplifier circuits: operating parameters, negative current feedback, negative voltage feedback, common collector circuit, common base circuit
- Two-stage amplifier circuits
- Current sources and current mirrors: principle, transistor current sources, discrete current sources, current mirrors
- Differential amplifiers: basic circuit, mode of operation, advantages, important modes of operation and parameters
- Oscillators: harmonic oscillators, condition of oscillation
- Field effect transistors: complementary MOS-logic (CMOS)
- Iteration procedures and stability analysis
