  • Atomic structure: Electromagnetic radiation; Photoelectric effect; Line spectra; Hydrogen atom - Bohr; Quantum numbers; Orbitals;
  • Atomic electronic configuration: Periodic Table; Atomic properties (size, ionization energy, electronic affinity);
  • Bonding and molecular structure: valence electrons; octet rule; ionic and covalent bond; Lewis structures; Radicals; VSEPR; Formal and partial charges; Bond polarity;
  • Intermolecular interactions: van-der-Waals and dipole-dipole interactions; hydrogen bonds;
  • Acid-Base-Theory: Brønstedt-, Lewis-theory; pH-value; equilibrium constant; acidity constant; HSAB concept;
  • Redox-reactions: oxidation numbers; oxidation; reduction; catalysis
