Objectives Introduction to the theory of continous-time dynamical systems, basic knowledege of analysis and design methods for the class of linear and time invariant systems. In-depth understanding of general, abstract structures of dynamical systems by means of linear algebra.
Subject
  • Dynamic systems, state space, systems of ordinary differential equations
  • Linear time invariant systems, coordinate transformation, eigen solutions, eigen spaces
  • Stability of the equilibrium, basic Liapunov theory, Liapunov -equation
  • Reachability, linear state feedback for single input system, eigenvalue placement, Ackermann's formula, optimal state feedback control for multi input systems
  • Observability, full and reduced observers, Kalman Bucy filter, separation theorem
