Lehrinhalte (*)6 cumulative sections concerning the theoretical background of the tasks in the Laboratory Course of Preparative Organic Chemistry for Biological Chemistry 1

(1) Separation techniques, spectroscopy (in particular NMR), acid/base properties of organic compounds

(2) Nucleophilic aliphatic substitution reactions

(3) Reactions of carbonyl compounds

(4) Addition, elimination, reduction and oxidation reactions

(5) Reactions of aromatic compounds

(6) Rearrangement and pericyclic reactions

Beurteilungskriterien (*)Written tests on each subchapter.

Four of six tests and the oral final exam must be evaluated positively.
