Masterstudium Joint Master's Programme in Comparative Social Policy and Welfare 2017W
Ziele
(*)The courses in this section lay the theoretical and conceptual groundwork for comparative welfare state studies. They give a first overview over important debates in the field of comparative welfare state research and introduce the relevant theoretical conceptualizations and empirical techniques of internationally comparative social research. The courses qualify students to critically reflect on theoretical and empirical arguments and enhance their practical skills in working independently with empirical materials and theoretical conceptualizations, analyzing different countries' social protection systems, understanding current trends and controversies in those different regimes, and putting this information in internationally and historically comparative perspective.
