Detailed information
Original study plan Master's programme Mechatronics 2016W
Objectives The practical course offers insight into the field of digital signal processing. The main aim is to implement signal processing algorithms on a digital signal processor, while working on a modern hardware hands-on.
Subject Getting-started with the signal processing hardware based on the microcontroller STM32F407VG
Signal processing fundamentals in Matlab, time-efficient algorithms
Design and implementation of an FIR filter with fixed point arithmetic and floating point arithmetic
Design and implementation of an IIR filter with fixed point arithmetic and floating point arithmetic
Design and implementation of a Hilbert transformator and application in Single-Sideband-Modulation
Implementation of the Goertzel algorithm and application in DTMF signaling Applications
Criteria for evaluation participation/motivation, documentation of all exercises
Methods The practical course comprises six half-day excercises. Students in groups of two work through all of these excercises. All excercises have to be documented with a (to be submitted) report.
