Objectives Consolidation in areas of chemistry which are important for life sciences: bio-inorganic chemistry, biospecific detection, photochemistry, stereochemistry, chemical biomimetics.
A lecture course (Current Topics in Biological Chemistry) with changing contents is reserved for the most timely topics.
Subject Advanced Concepts in Chemistry, which are of biological relevance.
Further information Students with a Bachelor degree in Biological chemistry or equivalent must choose a total of 26,1 ECTs from two of the three chemical elective subjects, with a minimum of 10 ECTs in each of the selected ones.

Students who have graduated Bachelor or "Diplomingenieur" in Chemistry, Technical Chemistry or "Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen - Techische Chemie" or equivalent must choose a total of 20,2 ECTs from two of the three chemical elective subjects, with a minimum of 7,5 ECTs in each of the selected ones.
