Objectives |
Students can apply the knowledge acquired on the basic, core, and special competence education and apply their developed skills solving practical or scientific task in Information Systems. Students are able to handle characteristic topics from the core and special areas Information Engineering, Software Engineering, Data & Knowledge Engineering, and Communications Engineering in a self-managed way. They are able to acquire the required state-of-the art knowledge from the current literature, and present work results in written and oral form. Basic techniques of scientific work, namely literature review, structured evaluation of scientific work and presentation of scientific knowledge are mastered.

The course content and thematic orientation of the courses are based on the current developments and trends in research and development of Information Engineering, Software Engineering, Data & Knowledge Engineering and Communications Engineering.

In the subject Selected Topics of Business Informatics two seminars have to be completed. Students have to complete those two seminars that have not already been completed in the Bachelor's degree in form of the pro-seminar.
