Objectives Students are aware of the strategic potential of information and communication technology and its importance for the achievement of strategic goals against the background of value creation through IT. Students know the strategic tasks of IT planning and the associated methods and tools.
Subject Overview of tasks in strategic IT management; IT investment evaluation; IT performance measurement; IT risk management; IT security management; Management of IT infrastructure; Decisions on outsourcing; Strategic tasks in IT project management.
Criteria for evaluation Examination (50%), homework assignments, and in-class participation (50%)
Methods Classical lecture; exercises in small groups on specific topics; presentation, discussion and documentation of the results
