Objectives (*)
  • Vertiefung von Kompetenzen im Strategischen und Internationalen Management.
  • Kennen und Verstehen der theoretischen und praktischen Herausforderungen des Internationalen Managements unter Beachtung strategischer Dimensionen.
  • Wissenschaftlich fundierte, kritische Auseinandersetzung mit aktuellen Herausforderungen von Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft und deren Implikationen.
  • Förderung von persönlichen, sozialen und interkulturellen Kompetenzen.
  • Diskussion der Rolle der Frau im internationalen Management aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven.
Subject (*)This course aims at developing strategic thinking in a global context. The main objectives of this course are:

- To introduce students to domain of international and global strategy

- To gain understanding and processes of strategy formulation and implementation and apply them in a global setting

- To be aware of competing arguments behind a number of strategic approaches

- To emphasize the generalist nature of management work

- To learn to work together as a team

Upon completion of this course, students should have:

- The ability to conduct a strategic analysis in a global stetting.

- The ability to take a holistic approach to the application of analytical frameworks and tools.

- The knowhow to obtain and analyze information which will aid decision making.

- The ability to analyze cases which approximates closely to the rapid analysis of global business situations.
