Bachelor's programme Polymer Engineering and Technologies 2015W |
Objectives |
The subject "Fundamentals of Science" covers the scientific training of polymer engineers and qualified for further master programs with the topics polymer technologies and science or management in polymer technology.
In particular, the subject "Fundamentals of Science" covers the practical and theoretical topics/knowledge of mathematics, physics, computer science, programming and their mathematical and scientific application to problems of polymer technology.
|
Subject |
Introduction to Physics Basic concepts, physical variables, error calculation, forces, energy, momentum, and vibrations.
Introduction to Programming Introduction to programming on the basis of Java data types, declarations, statements, methods, string operations, arrays, classes, overview of the object-oriented programming, dynamic data structures, recursion, stepwise refinement, packages and data abstraction, exception handling, programming style, documentation, testing.
Mathematics Basic concepts and methods of real analysis and differential geometry in single-and multi-dimensional spaces, in particular the algebra of linear algebra and the theory of ordinary differential equations. Application of mathematical methods to problems of technology, in particular the field of mechatronics, including sessions of computer algebra programs.
