Objectives Students know the function of full and part cost accounting within cost management, and master the basics of cost accounting. They are familiar with the relationship between internal and external accounting and know the principles of accounting according to UGB. Furthermore, they know the terminology, context and main problems of corporate finance and are able to prepare investment decisions based on static and dynamic investment calculation methods.
Subject (*)Kostenmanagement:
Abgrenzung externe – interne Unternehmensrechnung, Aufgaben und Ziele der Kosten- und Leistungsrechnung, Voll- und Teilkostenrechnung (vertiefte Auseinandersetzung), Plankostenrechnung und Abweichungsanalyse, Prozesskostenrechnung.

Bilanzierung:
Ermittlung der Anschaffungs- und Herstellungskosten im Blickwinkel bilanzpolitischer Spielräume, wesentliche Bilanzierungsfragen in Zusammenhang mit Anlagevermögen, Umlaufvermögen (einschließlich langfristiger Auftragsfertigung), Rechnungsabgrenzungsposten und Rückstellungen (einschließlich Personalrückstellungen) unter Berücksichtigung bilanzsteuerrechtlicher Gesichtspunkte.

Finanzmanagement:
Aufgaben des Finanzmanagements: Innenfinanzierung, Außenfinanzierung und Problematik des Treffens von Investitionsentscheiden; Fragen der Finanzierung von jungen Unternehmen, der Finanzplanung und des Risikomanagements sowie von Mergers & Acquisitions
