Objectives Understanding of basic concepts of the special and general theory of relativity
Subject Special theory of relativity: moving refererence system, Doppler effect and Galilei transformation, Michelson-Morley experiment, Lorentz transformation, relativistic invariant formulation of mechanics, electrodynamics, and quantum mechanics, energy momentum tensor for waves (and coupled mechanical electrodynamical systems)

General theory of relativity: theory (almost) without math, experiments, postulates (equivalence principle, principle of covariance), models, geometry and metrics in 3D, metric tensors: Riemann, Ricci, Christoffel symbols, Einstein field equations in vacuo, measuring time and distance and principle of covariance, Einstein field equations in matter, Schwarzschild metrics
