Objectives The lecture begins with simple biomath models which lead to optimizating problems and initial value problems for ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The computer simulation based on these models requires different numerical tools which we will then introduce in the lecture. Students should use these methods to implement their own simulation code for the model introduced at the beginning of the lecture.
