The lecture starts with simple biomath models, which lead to optimization problems and to initial value problems for ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The computer simulation based on these models requires different numerical tools, which we will then introduce in the lecture. The students should use these methods for implementing their own simulation code for the model introduced at the beginning of the lecture.
