Objectives The courses focuses on core theories and the results of Media Psychology and the Psychology of Teaching; Students gain further insight into research methods and expand on their media literacy.
Subject - Theories on learning and teaching
- Processing mediated information
- A cognitive view on building learning environments
- Human motivation and media
- Emotions and the media
- The psychology behind both media and gender and media and migration
- Current topics in Media Psychology (e.g., media use and violence; adolescents and online pornography)
Criteria for evaluation - Attendance is mandatory and students are expected to participate actively in class. All students in a working group are required to prepare a short presentation (5-10 minutes) and submit a paper.
- Examination
Methods On-site class incorporating Moodle. Classroom instruction, group work, interactive course elements. Short group presentations by students.
