Objectives Impartation of basic knowledge concerning theoretical essentials of the current status of research on computer mediated communication (CMC). Acquisition of scientific basics and working out of advanced knowledge concerning CMC.

  • Literature research in scientific online databases
  • History of computer and Internet
  • Communication:
    General principles, communication and computer, models and theories of CMC, persuasive communication and attitude change
  • Chances and risks of CMC
  • CMC in various areas of practice: education, workplace, healthcare system, marketing, and private life

  • Attendance
  • Presentations in class
  • Seminar paper at the end of semester
