Objectives
Hands-on knowledge in handling of RF components and measurement equipment required for the development of radar systems; Practical implementation of different radar concepts; Comparison of theory and measurement by signal evaluation in MATLAB.
Subject
- characterization of typical RF components used in radar systems
- automation of RF measurement equipment via GPIB - practical implementation of FSCW, FMCW, and Doppler radar systems - measurement of range, velocity, and position - system modelling, noise analysis, influence of practical hardware imperfections - DFT based signal processing algorithms in MATLAB, including two-dimensional analysis for range-Doppler and beamforming applications - best in combination with LVA335.042 Radarsignalverarbeitung
Criteria for evaluation
Written protocols for the individual tasks and ongoing collaboration
Methods
